XOVOX’s services reunite businesses with their resurrected data for legal purposes, data migration, or even for mining valuable business intelligence, opening up a new world of possibilities for enterprises with otherwise useless legacy data.

XOVOX was formerly known as “Electrical Science” before being rebranded by DAMN GOOD.

CHALLENGE

While DAMN GOOD was tasked with creating a new brand and website for “Electrical Science,” the real challenge was in building messaging around an industry that didn’t yet exist.

The agency had to explore and refine brand new descriptive terminology and hone in on the most salient pitches across a number of target industries while conjuring a new brand image and identity into existence.

Not only did the new brand need to efficiently and effectively introduce audiences to the company’s truly unique offerings, but it also needed to be memorable enough to rapidly capture as much brand awareness as possible to propel its launch and ensure its success.

STRATEGY

Having substantial experience with the call recording industry through our client CallCabinet, DAMN GOOD was well-familiar with a large portion of XOVOX’s target markets.

Recognizing that it would be extremely difficult to build visual interest around a service as dry as data retrieval and reformatting, DAMN GOOD focused upon creating a brand that would be both memorable and visually appealing.

Building the brand upon bold visuals and a distinctive name would make it stand out within the somewhat tedious industries where voice recordings are crucial, and help spark the curiosity needed to introduce prospective customers to the brand unique offerings.

SOLUTION

After exploring numerous naming options, the agency ultimately advocated for XOVOX, a palindrome that roughly described the service (XO=”exo,” or “out of,” and VOX=”voice”).

As a palindrome, the brand name would be visually appealing in both logo and text form, and would be interesting enough to prompt audiences to want to learn more.

DAMN GOOD paired this approach with engaging messaging while developing a streamlined website that clearly communicated brand values and offerings as concisely as possible.
